Happy New Year!

Next Tranz Guys Meeting Is Sunday January 15th

6pm to 9pm at the Q Center – 4115 N Mississippi Ave.

Topic: New Year’s Resolutions: What do you want to change in the next year of your life? Whether you’re releasing something harmful or initiating something positive, the new year can be a time of committing to change and celebrating it. On January 15, let’s celebrate each others’ New Years Resolutions. Discuss the changes you want to create in 2012 or participate by listening and supporting others. There will also be time for affirming a more private resolution, which you can keep for yourself or have shared anonymously with the group.

Tranz Guys has added a Q & A session to every meeting. Monthly, individuals will have the opportunity to ask the community a specific question.

Social time! After group, we head over to Amnesia Brewery (832 N Beech St) and Laughing Planet (3765 N. Mississippi) both are 4 blocks south of the Q Center.

WELCOME

This is the online home of the Tranz Guys group, a monthly social support/discussion group in Portland, Oregon for people who were assigned female at birth but who now identify otherwise or who are questioning their gender identity.

We meet on the third Sunday of the month at the Portland Q Center. For more information on the group and our meetings, see About Tranz Guys.

In order to create a safe space for all participants, our regular group meetings are open only to those who are exploring their own gender identity or who identify on the transmasculine spectrum.  For resources for partners and family of trans-identified people, see our SOFFA section.

Much of what you’ll find here is based on the excellent Resources PDX guide, as well as on personal experiences and information shared by individual members of the trans community. We hope you’ll feel free to actively contribute by giving us suggestions and feedback, sending us additional resources or information, and letting us know about events that are coming up.

If there is something you would like to see here, or you want us to post an announcement, contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
